Caritas Ukraine volunteers are an important part of the community that supports people in crisis, promotes community development, and helps create a safe and supportive environment for everyone. In our activities, we strive to act professionally, responsibly, and with respect for human dignity.
For volunteers

Safeguarding is an integral part of Caritas Ukraine’s activities and a shared responsibility of employees, volunteers, and affiliated persons. It is about creating and maintaining an environment where the rights of children, beneficiaries, volunteers, and employees are protected, and any manifestations of violence, discrimination, exploitation, or abuse are unacceptable. Adherence to Safeguarding principles helps strengthen trust, maintain a culture of respect, and ensure ethical and safe interaction in all areas of Caritas Ukraine’s network activities.

This page contains an adapted Code of Ethics and Conduct for volunteers, as well as materials for engaging situational volunteers. These documents will help to better understand the principles of ethical behavior, professional boundaries, and rules for safe interaction during volunteer activities. Adherence to them is an important step towards creating a safe, dignified, and supportive environment for everyone.
