Safeguarding is an integral part of Caritas Ukraine’s activities and a shared responsibility of employees, volunteers, and affiliated persons. It is about creating and maintaining an environment where the rights of children, beneficiaries, volunteers, and employees are protected, and any manifestations of violence, discrimination, exploitation, or abuse are unacceptable. Adherence to Safeguarding principles helps build trust, foster a culture of respect, and ensure ethical and safe interaction in all areas of Caritas Ukraine’s network.

This page contains an adapted Code of Ethics and Conduct for volunteers, as well as materials for engaging situational volunteers. These documents will help to better understand the principles of ethical behavior, professional boundaries, and rules for safe interaction during volunteer activities. Adherence to them is an important step towards creating a safe, dignified, and supportive environment for all.
