Caritas Ukraine supported the national campaign «Speak Up. Report. Stop It»

On International Human Rights Day, Caritas Ukraine supported the national campaign to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse “Speak Up. Report. Stop It.”

This initiative was launched by a network of public organizations (WFP, UNFPA, IOM, IRC, Ukrainian Public Health Foundation) that implement measures to strengthen protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA / PSEA) in Ukraine.

The campaign aims to draw public attention to the problem of SEA and remind people of their right to dignified and safe assistance, access to information, and the ability to report cases of sexual exploitation and abuse without fear. The main goals of the campaign are:

  • Raising awareness so that communities understand their rights, protection mechanisms, and safe reporting channels.
  • Encouraging safe and confidential reporting of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and misconduct – ensuring confidentiality and preserving the dignity of victims.
  • Strengthening the application of the “do no harm” principle among all participants in humanitarian and development activities, based on Codes of Conduct and safeguarding and protection policies.
  • Building trust with affected communities, reducing stigmatization, and increasing the likelihood of safe and confidential reporting of violations.

“We are convinced that supporting this initiative is a powerful signal that countering SEA is not only a safeguarding policy but also a shared commitment to uphold dignity, safety, and justice for all affected people in Ukraine”
