A meeting of persons responsible for the implementation of the security system (PRISS) was held

On October 8-9, 2025, a meeting of Persons Responsible for Implementing the Safeguarding System (PRISS) in the Caritas Ukraine network took place in Bryukhovychi village (Lviv region), dedicated to effective safeguarding training.

During the two-day event, participants discussed key approaches to organizing the safeguarding training process in local organizations, improved their facilitation skills and interaction with employees and volunteers of local organizations, and practiced interactive teaching methods, including role-playing games and online formats.

Significant attention was paid to psychological support and methods for preventing professional burnout, practicing practical techniques for emotional recovery. Participants also familiarized themselves with new training tools, including an online course and a web portal on safeguarding. The meeting resulted in developments that will strengthen the competencies of PRISS both in safeguarding and in protecting children and vulnerable adults.

It is especially valuable that this event became not only a working tool but also a platform for exchanging experience, discussing complex cases, and receiving practical advice for further fruitful and effective work.

In the concluding part, participants shared their impressions of the event and spoke about what they were taking away with them. The summing up was filled with words of gratitude to the participants and organizers for their cooperation, attentiveness, and dedication to their work. Each participant received methodological materials for conducting the training “Trainer’s Handbook,” which were compiled and published with the support of Caritas Spain as part of the project “Training for the Caritas Ukraine Network II.”
